STEEL SIDE PLATE END FLANGES
VENTILATED – TYPE “FT”
Metal center, bias-type buffs should be properly clamped together by drawing up tightly between steel end flanges.
This provides unit strength, prevents possible distortion and breakage of the metal hubs, and slippage between the assembled buff sections.
The outside diameter of the side plate end flanges should be at least 1″ larger than the inside diameter of the buff center hub.
